Dale Sylliboy is the Executive Director for Ta’n Etli-tpi’tmk was born and raised in Eskasoni where he currently resides, with a passion for spending quality time with his family. When he's not at work, Dale enjoys snowmobiling, cruising on his side by side, hunting and fishing, as these outdoor activities allow him to connect with nature and explore his surroundings.
With over a decade of experience as the Director of Eskasoni Social Development, Dale is a dedicated team player who brings expertise and skill to every project he undertakes. He has also worked in the Commercial Fishing Industry and Forestry in the past, which has given him a unique perspective on the intersection between industry and the natural world.
Dale received his Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies in 1999, and went on to complete his Bachelor of Social Work in 2014. These academic achievements have prepared him to work with individuals and communities to effect positive change.
Dale is married to his wife Angeline. Together they have a daughter, Shayna and a son, Tace, who are his world. Dale is committed to using his skills and experience to make a difference in the world around him. Whether he is working on social development initiatives or spending time with his family, Dale brings a thoughtful and compassionate approach to everything he does.
Cori Julian is the Executive Assistant for Ta’n Etli-tpi’tmk and Senior Administrative Secretary to the Board, a position that requires exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic. Cori has honed these skills throughout her career, starting at Ben Sylliboy's, where she worked diligently and gained valuable experience interacting with her entire community.
After several years at Ben Sylliboy's, Cori joined the team at NADCA, where she continued to refine her administrative skills. Her dedication and attention to detail helped her excel in this position, leading her to her current role at Ta’n Etli-tpi’tmk.
Cori resides in Eskasoni with her husband, Ed, and their five children, Zachary, Zoie, Kiara, Blake, and Xtian. Her family is a source of pride and joy for Cori, and she loves spending time with her four grandchildren.
In her free time, Cori enjoys beading, a hobby that allows her to express her creativity and attention to detail. Her beadwork is intricate and beautiful, reflecting her passion for this craft. Cori also cherishes spending time with her grandchildren, watching them grow and learn.
Samantha Young is a highly skilled Communications Lead, hailing from the Wagmatcook First Nation. She is a proud Mi’kmaw woman with extensive experience in the insurance industry and as a former employee of the Wagmatcook Band Council, Samantha brings a unique perspective to her role at Ta’n Etli-tpi’tmk.
Known for her excellent organizational skills and outgoing personality, Samantha is a dedicated team player, always striving to ensure that her team operates smoothly and efficiently. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized by her colleagues and peers, and she is highly respected within her field.
When she's not busy working, Samantha enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their son, exploring the great outdoors, and relaxing on the best beaches in Unama'ki. She values the importance of family and friends and always makes time for those closest to her.

Liam MacDonald is the Chief Financial Officer for Ta'n Etli-tpi'tmk. Prior to this role, Liam worked for 7.5 years in the accounting department of Regional Resident Services Society, a non-profit in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Liam is a strategic thinker, operates well in a team environment and can effectively manage his own time to continually meet deadlines.
Liam graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2015, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and recently completed the Common Final Exam, CPA Canada.
Liam grew up and resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, and spending time with family, friends, and his Leonberger, Lenny.
Virginia Sylliboy is the Financial Officer for Ta'n Etli-tpi'tmk. Prior to joining the Ta'n Etli-tpi'tmk team, Virginia worked for fourteen years at Paq’tnkek Mi’kmaw Nation. At Paq’tnkek, Virginia has served in several capacities with increasing responsibility, including acting Financial Officer. As Social Director for Paq’tnkek, Virginia was a member of the Social working group for the last two years and when the position opened at Ta'n Etli-tpi'tmk, she applied.
Her experience in Finance, knowledge of Social Development issues, positive attitude and work ethic make her a valuable member of the Ta'n Etli-tpi'tmk team.
Virginia has earned an Accounting Diploma from NSCC in Business Administration. She was working on her 3rd year BBA which she set aside due to family obligations and plans to resume in the near future.
In 2018, she was invited by Andrea Boyd to join Festival Antigonish to be part of the Board of Directors. It was a way to bring engagement between the local theatre and Paq'tnkek.
Virginia is a proud Mi'kmaq mother of six and a grandmother to one and one on the way from Paq’tnkek Mi'kmaw Nation.
Serena Paul joined Ta’n Etli-tpi’tmk first as a Case Management Coach and then as our Project Manager-Case Management and Training Coordinator with an extensive professional history. Born and raised in Eskasoni, she brings a unique blend of experience, warmth, and passion to her role.
Serena's journey with UINR (Unama'ki Institute of Natural Resources) began in 2007 when she embarked on her career as an Administrative Assistant. For over a decade, she played an integral role in supporting the organization. In 2018, Serena joined Mi'kmaw Family and Children's Services, where she dedicated her expertise and compassion to improving the lives of families and children in her community.
Serena is happily married to her loving husband, Brian Paul, for 27 years, and together they've raised four wonderful children: Brianna, Rebecca, Brian David Jr., and Isabella. Their home is a lively one, with not only their loving family but also a pack of four adorable dogs: Charlie Bucket, Kyuna, Bebe, and Lilo.
Serena has a special place in her heart for the fall season and a love for spending time around the campfire. She is not just a fan of Halloween and all things spooky; she's downright obsessed. Travelling is another of Serena's great loves, and she seizes every opportunity to explore new places and experiences with her favourite being Disney!
Amanda Marshall, also known as Mandy, is an accomplished Administrative Assistant hailing from Eskasoni, Nova Scotia. Mandy is passionate and has a huge heart, she has built a life filled with family, music, and dedication to her career.
Mandy's proudest accomplishment is her role as a loving mother to four incredible adult children: Karli, Trey, and twins Kaden and Kaitlin. Her family circle has expanded over the years, with three adorable grandchildren: Calyx, Jaxen, and Everly. But there's more excitement on the horizon, as Mandy eagerly anticipates the arrival of twin granddaughters!
Family holds a special place in Mandy's heart, even though she can't be with her loved ones in New Brunswick as often as she'd like, she thinks of them often. Originally from Big Cove, New Brunswick, Mandy's journey led her to Cape Breton University, where she met and fell in love with Pete Marshall of Eskasoni. Their love story began at a native hockey tournament, a charming twist to their destined connection.
When she's not busy with her family and work, Mandy finds solace in strumming her guitar and belting out her favourite tunes. Music has been a constant companion throughout her life, providing a creative outlet and moments of pure joy.
Professionally, Mandy has been an integral part of the Eskasoni community. She spent two years at the Eskasoni Gaming Center before dedicating the past 11 years of her career to the Eskasoni Corporate Division as an Administrative Assistant. Her commitment and hard work have made her a valued member of the community.
Alison Stevens is a new Case Manager Coach from the Eskasoni First Nation and a former employee of Eskasoni Social Development. She has extensive experience in the welfare system and is passionate about ensuring that people are treated fairly and equally. Alison enjoys spending time with her partner, Norman, and their two beautiful daughters.
Highly organized and compassionate, Alison is dedicated to helping others, listening to their needs, and fostering a happy, healthy, and safe environment both at home and at work.
